Wild Wonders: Images Capturing the Charm of Orangutans

Choose a picture from our Orangutan Collection for your Wall Art and Photo Gifts

This gallery features images of orangutans in their natural habitat as well as some illustrations. These great apes are indigenous to Indonesia and Malaysia. Orangutans are extremely intelligent and are one of the largest forest-dwelling animals, spending the majority of their time in trees. With their distinctive shaggy reddish-brown fur they are known for their exceptional strength, which allows them to easily manipulate and bend branches to create nests or move through the canopy. Except for mothers with offspring, they are solitary animals that communicate through a variety of vocalizations, including long calls that can be heard up to 1 km away.
