St Andrews Cathedral
circa 1925: The ruins of St Andrews Cathedral in the Scottish burgh of St Andrews in Fife. Construction of the cathedral was begun in 1160, and it was dedicated to St Andrew, one of the twelve Apostles and the patron saint of Scotland. The saints relics were brought to the burgh in the 8th century, and it was the ecclesiastical capital of Scotland up until the Reformation.
