Triumphal Arch or Septimius Severus Arch in the colonnaded street of Palmyra. Besides the main central arch there are two side passages decorated with niches in the upper parts. The first in the right was holding the statue of Erodiano, son of Odenato, as deduced from the existing fragment of an inscription. The arch, built in 220, and richly decorated, has been beautifully restored in the 30s.The arch was destroyed by the self-styled Islamic State (Isis, Isil, Is) October 5, 2015
