The Lobby of the House of Commons, London, during the 1870s. The old Houses of Parliament were destroyed by fire in 1834 and the current buildings were designed by Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin. From " Old & New London" by Walter Thornbury and Edward Walford, published in parts by Cassell & Co, London from 1873-1888. These illustrations are from parts 30-35 inclusive
