(Original Caption) 1/13/1955-Managua, Nicaragua-General Anastazio Somoza, President of Nicaragua, in a press conference with a foreign correspondent. The submachine gun is the same type used by the Guatemalan Liberation Army in the revolution last year, and which, President Somosa says, is the same type used to assassinate President Ramon. This type, he says, has unfortunately fallen into the hands of mercenaries in Central America. During the conference, General Somoza said he was challenging Presidnet Jose Figueres of Costa Rica to a duel because, if he hates me so much let him come out and fight like a man without trying to involve innocent people of the two countries.
