(Original Caption). Clifford Odets, the 46-year-old author of many Broadway plays and Hollywood films, is shown as he testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee yesterday. He admitted freely that he joined the Communist Party in the horrendous days of 1934, but said he quit the party a few months later because he couldn't respect the Reds on a cultural basis Odets said he was recruited into the party by the late actor Edward Bromberg. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm).
