Image shows a brooding stormy scene of the pier in the seaside town of Whitby in North Yorkshire, England. The wooden planks of the pier, are weather worn and soaked with rain and seawater. The white painted railings are no match for the severe elements and in several places we see the rust bleeding through the paint. The structures feels so fragile against the might elements of nature. At the far end of the pier stands a solitary small lighthouse or beacon used to guide ships and boats into the town harbour. Although the sea is calm in the image, the dark and moody sky suggest a storm could be massing and will break soon, the blue tones of the image adding further to this feeling of impending harsh nature

Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
